శుభ సూచకం, శుభ శకునం. ఉదయం లేవగానే శంఖాన్ని చూడాలి అని కూడా శకున శాస్త్రం చెప్తోంది. మనం సాధారణంగా చూసే శంఖాలన్నీ కూడా ఉత్తరం వైపువి లభిస్తూ వుంటాయి.

దక్షిణావృతం దొరికితే మరింత విశేషం. వేదికపై స్వామిని ముందుగా పరిశుభ్ర జలంతో కడిగి మెత్తని పొడిబట్టతో మృదువుగా అద్దాలి. దేవతా స్వరూపాలన్నీ ఏర్పాటు చేసుకున్న తర్వాత మనకు కుడివైపున దక్షిణావృత శంఖాన్ని తూర్పు అగ్రం వుండే విధంగా ఏర్పాటు చేసుకోవాలి. శంఖంలో నీరుని కలశంతో కానీ/గ్లాసుతోకానీ/ఉద్ధరిణెతో గానీ/ నింపాలి. శంఖాన్ని తీసుకొని చెంబులో ముంచి పెట్టకూడదు. శంఖంలో మొదలు భాగము అస్పృశ్యము, తాకరాదు. తరువాత దానితో అర్చన చేయాలి.

శంఖంలో నీరు పోసే సమయంలో "శంఖపీఠే బ్రహ్మణే నమః" - శంఖ పీఠంలో బ్రహ్మదేవుడు వున్నాడు. ’శంఖాగ్రే సోమాయ నమః"; "మధ్యే గంగా సరస్వతేభ్యో నమః" ఇలా శంఖ పూజ చేయాలి. "ప్రణవేన శంఖం ద్వాదశవారం పూరయ్తిత్వా". మంత్రాలన్నీ రాకపోయినా శంఖంలో నీరు పోసే సమయంలో ప్రణవేన - ఓంకారంతో పన్నెండు మార్లు నింపాలి. అప్పుడు ఆ శంఖంలో ఉండే నీరు పవిత్రమవుతుంది. తీర్థమవుతుంది. దానిచేత ఆ పరమాత్మను అభిషేకం చేసి తిరిగి యథాస్థానంలో వుంచి తిరిగి నీళ్ళునింపాలి.

శంఖాన్ని ఎప్పుడూ ఖాళీగా పెట్టకూడదు. మొదటగా పీఠాన్ని, తరువాత శంఖాన్ని, ఆ పిమ్మట పరమాత్మను అర్చించాలి. పరమాత్మను వుంచే పాత్ర బయట పళ్ళానికి ఎడమ వైపున శంఖాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేసుకోవాలి.

దక్షిణావృత శంఖం విజయానికి, సమృద్ధికి, సుఖానికి, కీర్తి ప్రతిష్ఠలకు, లక్ష్మి ఆగమనానికి ప్రతీక, శంఖాన్ని శివపూజకు, పూజనందు ఆరతి ఇచ్చేటప్పుడు ధార్మిక ఉత్సవాలలో యజ్ఞాలలో రాజ్యాభిషేకాలకు, శుభ సందర్భాలలోనూ, పితృదేవతలకు తర్పణలు ఇచ్చేటప్పుడు మరియు దీపావళి, హోళి, మహాశివరాత్రి, విశిష్టమైన ఖర్మకాండలలో శంఖాన్ని స్థాపించి పూజిస్తారు.రుద్రపూజకు, లక్ష్మీదేవి పూజకు, దేవిపూజకు ఉపయోగిస్తారు

దక్షిణావృత శంఖాన్ని గంగాజలం, పాలు, తేనె, నేయితోను, బెల్లంతోను, అభిషేకిస్తూ వుంటారు. దక్షిణావృత శంఖాన్ని ధూపదీప నైవేద్యాలతో పూజిస్తారు.దక్షిణావృత శంఖాన్ని పూజించటం వల్ల వాస్తుదోషాలు పోతాయి. వాస్తుదోషం పోవడానికి ఎర్ర ఆవుపాలతో దక్షిణావృత శంఖాన్ని నింపి ఇల్లు అంతా చల్లుతారు. ఇంటి సభ్యులు అంతా సేవిస్తారు. ఇలా చేయడం వల్ల అసాధ్య రోగాలు, దు:ఖాలు దౌర్భాగ్యం దూరమవుతాయి.దక్షిణావృత శంఖాలు వున్న చోట నుండి లక్ష్మి తరలిపోదు.

దక్షిణావృత శంఖంలో నీరు నింపి సంతానం లేని దంపతులు ఆ నీటిని తాగినచో సంతానయోగం కలుగుతుంది.దక్షిణావృత శంఖంలో నీరు నింపి తలపై రోజు చల్లుకుంటే పాపాలు,రోగాలు,కష్టాలు తొలిగిపోతాయి.దక్షిణావృతశంఖం ప్రత్యేకంగా జాతకచక్రంలో గల శుక్రగ్రహాదోషాలు పోగొడుతుంది.దక్షిణావృతశంఖంలో నీటిని ఉంచి త్రాగటం వలన దీర్ఘకాలిక రోగాలు నశిస్తాయి.

దక్షిణావృతశంఖంతో పూజచేసెవారికి సరియైన సమయంలో వివాహం జరుగుతుంది.అంతేకాక వివాహ అనంతరం దాంపత్య జీవితంలో ఎటువంటి కలతలు ఉండవు.
దక్షిణావృతశంఖం ఇంటిలో ఉన్నవారికి ధనాభివృద్ది ఉంటుంది.దక్షిణావృతశంఖం వ్యాపారస్ధలంలో ఉంచిన వ్యాపారాభివృద్ధితో పాటు ధనాభివృద్ధి కలుగుతుంది.

If the water is filled on the head of the southern tree, then the sins, diseases and troubles will be removed. The Dakṣiṇāvr̥taśaṅkhaṁ of dakṣiṇāvr̥taśaṅkhaṁ will be losing in jātakacakranlō. Due to drinking water in south dakṣiṇāvr̥taśaṅkhanlō, long lasting diseases will be destroyed.

The marriage will be done at the time of the prayer for the people who pray with the south tree. Even after marriage, there will be no dreams in life.
Those who are in the house of south dakṣiṇāvr̥taśaṅkhaṁ will be rich. The Dakṣiṇāvr̥taśaṅkhaṁ will grow with the business that has been kept in the business.
